Selecting a motor that meets your needs is important. For Venz ( ) the product code can be used to select a motor for the task, starting with
1. Motor SP This motor has a starting system
for machines needing relatively modest starting torque. It can drive belts for piston water pumps, small chilli or meat grinders, soybean milk blenders and small single-cylinder air compressors. Available sizes are 1/4,1/3,1/2 horsepower, selected according to the task.
2. Motor SC This motor has a starting system  
working with a start capacitor, giving good starting torque and belt-driving capability. Applications include air compressors, meat grinders and piston pumps, with sizes no larger than 1 horsepower

3. Motor SC-R This motor has a starting system using a start capacitor
and a run capacitor for sustained operation. Its applications are similar to the SC series, with sizes available up to 10 horsepower. It can be used for air compressors, water pumps, grinders, general belt drives, agricultural sprayers, three-cylinder high-pressure pumps for washing air conditioners and household rice mills of 1-3 horsepower. Cement mixers use 3 horsepower and above. Sizes of 5,7.5,10 horsepower are commonly used in community rice mills.   It can also be coupled to drive machinery such as reduction gearboxes in conveyor systems.
4. Motor CR   This motor has no separate starting system but has a run capacitor
for applications without belt drive. It can run continuously for long periods with quiet, smooth operation, such as direct-drive fans, blowers and direct-shaft coconut graters.
