Energy Recovery Ventilation is a type of ventilation system that energy exchange (Heat and humidity) between the air that flows in (Fresh Air) and the air that flows out (Exhaust Air) to increase the energy saving efficiency of the air conditioning system.

🔧 ERV working principle:
 1. Indoor air Places with heat and humidity (such as conference rooms, classrooms, or offices) will be sucked out through the Exhaust pipe.
 2. Fresh outside air (but hotter or more humid than inside) will be sucked in through the Fresh Air pipe.
 3. Inside the ERV there is an energy exchange plate (Heat & Moisture Exchanger) that exchanges:
 • Sensible heat: To cool or warm the incoming air before entering the air conditioner.
 • Humidity (Latent heat): To transfer moisture from humid air to drier air.
 4. The result is that the air entering the building will be “Basic conditioning” before entering the air conditioning system Makes the air conditioner work less

✅ Advantages of the ERV system:
 • 💡 Save energy: Reduce the burden on the air conditioner that must be directly air conditioned from outside.
 • 🌬️ Get fresh air: Increase air circulation without wasting a lot of energy.
 • 💧 Humidity control: Reduce problems of over-humidity or over-drying.
 • 🦠 Reduce mold / musty smell problems: because there is constant ventilation.

❓How is ERV different from HRV?
 • HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation): Exchanges only “heat”.
 • ERV: Exchanges both heat + humidity → more suitable for hot and humid climates such as Thailand.
