industrial fan  Different types for different applications

Industrial fans are widely used in factories and large shopping centres for ventilation. They include conventional and mist types and are among the most common basic industrial-system devices. Their straightforward use makes them popular installations in factories.

Applications inindustrial fan systemsinclude cooling, air conditioning, air purification and many other purposes. Commonly used types include  Propellor Suitable for installation free blow without a duct connection, inexpensive and easy to install, and Centrifugal suitable for systems requiring a static air pressure of 0.5 inches of water or higher. These fans are further classified by their blade designs as follows.

industrial fan   Radial blade Suitable for material transport. This blade design is intended for heavily dust-laden air and has low efficiency.

industrial fan Forward curve Suitable for low- to medium-pressure air or gas. It can be used in less rigid structures because the fan does not cause vibration during operation. Power is transmitted by pulleys and a belt, requiring adjustment to the correct speed. It operates more quietly than other fan types and is economical.

industrial fan Airfoil Suitable for large airflow volumes and air pressures of 4 inches of water or higher. It has very high efficiency, but is expensive and noisy.

industrial fan  Backward curve Suitable for applications requiring high air or gas pressure  Used in strong, rigid structures because this fan creates vibration in the system during operation. Pulley-and-belt transmission is common and must be adjusted to the correct rotational speed. It costs more than other fan types.

industrial fan  Axial flow This fan is inexpensive and compact, but its noise level should be checked because it is louder in operation than other types. Power transmission usually does not use pulleys and belts, so no such adjustment is required.

Fan installation requires considering the mounting arrangement and the fan's dimensions to provide enough space, including convenient motor and belt replacement. Factory installations especially need a suitable direction and sufficient operating space; otherwise the fan may deteriorate quickly, deliver poor value and adversely affect machinery. When installed correctly, fans generally require relatively little maintenance.
